Mark Ronson working with Duran Duran

Mark Ronson is working with Duran Duran on their forthcoming album, it has emerged.

The Birmingham band have been enjoying renewed success since releasing Red Carpet Massacre in 2007.


Ronson – who has produced an array of names including Amy Winehouse, Robbie Williams and Adele – is said to be looking forward to the collaboration.

A source told the Sunday Mirror that the producer is confident he bring a contemporary feel to the former new romantic band's forthcoming material.

"Mark is really excited by the whole project. He thinks he can bring a really fresh sound to the band," the insider said.
Ronson – who collaborated with Duran Duran at a gig in Paris last summer - won best British male at last year's Brit Awards after releasing a hit album of cover versions.

The pop group enjoyed huge success in their 1980s heyday, with hits such as Wild Boys, Save A Prayer and Rio.

Fockers sequel has new director

Pete Segal is reportedly the new director of the forthcoming Ben Stiller comedy Meet The Little Fockers.

The first two instalments in the franchise, Meet The Parents and Meet The Fockers, were helmed by Jay Roach.


However, Variety reports that that Get Smart director Segal will take over for the next upcoming movie.

Stiller's comedy franchise is one of Universal's most successful, raking in some $820 million (£562 million) at the worldwide box office.

Robert De Niro and Stiller are both reprising their roles for the project, which is currently being penned by Along Came Polly writer John Hamburg
.

The new movie is to focus on the children of Gaylord "Greg" Focker and his wife Pam Byrnes – played by Stiller and Teri Polo - and the couple's continuing attempts to please disapproving father-in-law Jack.


It is thought that O
wen Wilson, who had cameos in the first two films, will take a bigger role in the forthcoming sequel.

Kate and Owen 'keen for baby'

Hollywood movie stars Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are reportedly keen to start a family.

The couple split up in 2007, but have recently been seen on holiday together in Paris and Normandy, which has led to rumours that they are an item again.

A friend of the pair claimed that they got back together around three months ago after realising they could not bear to be apart.

"It was a stumbling block previously with Owen. He's always had a difficult time committing, but this time it's different," said the source.

"Kate was with him throughout his recovery and that made Owen realise how much he loves her." The insider claimed that the Fools Gold star is keen to have a brother or sister for her first child from her marriage to Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson.


Wilson was involved in an alleged suicide attempt shortly after splitting from Kate in 2007.
