Mark Ronson working with Duran Duran

Mark Ronson is working with Duran Duran on their forthcoming album, it has emerged.

The Birmingham band have been enjoying renewed success since releasing Red Carpet Massacre in 2007.


Ronson – who has produced an array of names including Amy Winehouse, Robbie Williams and Adele – is said to be looking forward to the collaboration.

A source told the Sunday Mirror that the producer is confident he bring a contemporary feel to the former new romantic band's forthcoming material.

"Mark is really excited by the whole project. He thinks he can bring a really fresh sound to the band," the insider said.
Ronson – who collaborated with Duran Duran at a gig in Paris last summer - won best British male at last year's Brit Awards after releasing a hit album of cover versions.

The pop group enjoyed huge success in their 1980s heyday, with hits such as Wild Boys, Save A Prayer and Rio.
