Woman Sees Jesus On Her Iron

A woman has had her faith reaffirmed by seeing an image of Jesus Christ scorched onto her iron.
Mary Jo Coady from Methuen, Massachusetts, told the Boston Herald that she was surprised by the supposed manifestation.

The 44-year-old said: "I wouldn't say it's a miracle, but it made me say 'Wow!'. I didn't panic, I was carrying the laundry, looked down at the iron and there was the image of Jesus.
I picked it up and asked my daughters to take a look at it to make sure I wasn't crazy. They were as amazed as I was."

She added: "I was going through personal issues and this reaffirmed my faith. Believe it or not, finding and seeing that image was very uplifting. My faith was down, but seeing this made me think, wow, Jesus is there.

A strand of hair that is believed to have been clipped from the head of Elvis Presley has fetched more than £1,000 at auction.

The lock of the singer's barnet was mounted in a 12-inch by 22-inch frame next to a photograph of the star.

It had been tipped to go for up to £250, but eventually raised £1,055 at the sale in Wiltshire.

The snippet of hair had been cut off and kept by Presley's barber Gill Gilleland.

Rhydian announces new album details

Rhydian Roberts has announced that he will release second album O Fortuna on November 30.

The former X Factor contestant, whose self-titled debut record came out last year, revealed that he had more creative control over his latest offering.

"I had a much more free hand with this album. I could spend my career trying to reinvent myself but ultimately this is me as a real singer," he said.

"This is very much where I envisaged being when I was at music school. I'm made up. It's brilliant. And long may it continue."

The album, which was produced by Karl Jenkins and Nigel Wright and recorded between July and October, includes collaborations with Bryn Terfel, Catrin Finch and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.

The record includes his own versions of 'Land Of Our Fathers', 'Myfanwy, 'How Great Thou Art', 'Anthem' from the musical Chess, 'Annie's Song' and 'O Fortuna'.

The album also has a new track, 'I Won't Let You Walk This Road Alone', written for Roberts by Grammy award winning songwriter Walter Afansieff.

Rhydian's debut album sold over 500,000 copies, making him the most successful solo male artist of last year.
