Uma Thurman to marry multi-millionaire

Actress Uma Thurman has announced her engagement to Swiss financier Arpad Busson.

The Pulp Fiction star was previously married to Ethan Hawke, with whom she has two children, following a first marriage to Gary Oldman.

Busson reportedly presented Thurman with an eight-carat gem surrounded by 20 smaller stones, with a source saying: "It's the most beautiful piece I've ever seen."

He also has two children with the supermodel Elle Macpherson, with whom he split from in 2005.

The couple have been spending time together between their homes in London and New York since meeting at a private dinner party in Milan last year.

Jack Jordan was recently sentenced to three years probation and treatment after being convicted of stalking Thurman and her family for two years.

The 38-year-old was accused of repeatedly turning up on the actress's doorstep, as well as sending emails to the actress's father and brother.
